Flash OCX error is likely being caused by the way in which Windows can’t load the Flash Player program correctly on your system. In order to fix this problem, you should unregister and delete significant control files from your system and reinstall a new copy of Adobe Flash Player.
Instructions of How to Fix Flash OCX Error
Part 1: Uninstall Adobe Flash Player
Step 1: Click the “Start” button and choose “Search”, then “All Files and Folders” to open a new search window.
Step 2: Type “flash.ocx” in the search box to locate the folder that contains your corrupted copy of the Flash OCX file. Write down the full path name that holds the file, for example, c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash directory.
Step 3: Click the “Start” button and choose “Run” to open a new run command box. And type: c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash.ocx /u. This will unregister the Flash OCX file from your Windows system.
Step 4: Back to your search window and type “enterflash.ocx” in the search box. And then delete the file from the menu.
Step 5: Type “swflash.inf” in the search box and delete the file. Then you are ready to proceed with reinstallation.
Part 2: Reinstall Adobe Flash Player
Restart your computer. Open your Web browser and go to the Adobe Flash Player installation website to download the Adobe Flash Player setup program. Then, follow the on-screen prompts to reinstall Adobe Flash Player on your computer.
